The Log Max 12000XT is the extreme duty head for big tree production, multi-stem processing of smaller softwoods or processing crooked hardwoods.

Features may include:

• The XT heads are built to withstand extreme working conditions such as heat, cold, snow and sand.

• Log Max heads are run all over the world in all types of temperatures in all types of environments. That is why the XTreme series has been developed.

• Log Max 12000XT is equipped with a top saw.

• Top saws are primarily used in processing work. Having a saw on both ends of the head makes it easier to work with heavily branched broad-leaved trees, either on a standing tree or one already felled.

• Find End is an option that is used primarily when working with felled trees, to find the root end or zero point on the trunk. Find End consists of a laser sensor that is mounted in the bottom of the saw box. It helps the unit to identify the root end without using the saw.

• This function is especially important when working with felled trees, and saves both time and fuel as you do not have to cut the log to reset the length measurement.

• The AFC system is our head’s key technology and allows our heads to harvest trees with high precision and minimal friction.

• The goal of the AFC is to minimize the friction between the trunk and the frame, which leads to minimal wear on the unit and lower operating costs because the head doesn't use more power than necessary.

• The wood quality will also be high, as neither knives nor feed wheels need to use unnecessary force that damages the wood during processing.
